Card Drive

I am hosting a Card Drive for my husband's friend's family. His little boy has a brain tumor and I would like to send them as much support as we can through this hard time. We aren't exactly sure yet what is going on with the tumor(as far as cancer or not) but they had said it was benign when they found it and then decided to do surgery last week. As far as we know the surgery went well, so let's hope for the best for him and his family. The family's names are Doug(father) Amanda(mother), Emmy(big sissy), and Colin Gleason. Colin is 20months old and as cute as can be!

What you need to know before we start:
  • Cards should be happy, fun, funny, colorful, encouraging, supportive, etc. Please no mushy sad 'we're here for you' type of cards we need to cheer them up and keep their hopes up.
  • If you don't make cards go ahead and print one purchase one or write a note, any happy support during this time is helpful. Also they have a daughter as well(big sister) so don't forget to send some support to her as well.
  • If you have children, get them involved... kid's love to get cards and drawings from other children.
  • Get your school groups or church groups together to make a few cards.
  • Please note who made the card on the back of the card.
  • Include a piece of paper in the package with the number of cards sent and your name and contact info. I will be giving a prize to someone each month so please write your info!! ;)
  • Please don't seal the envelopes of the cards as the parents might want to look them over first.
  • If you would like to send a small gift please send a little extra money for the extra postage.
  • All cards can be mailed to my address: (I will be sending them packages of the cards as I receive them)
If you have any questions just email me thank you!

I keep forgetting to post here so I'm going to update you on what has happened in the past couple of months lol!

First I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Brooke Marie Mazza on October 12, 2009 at 1:21am. We had a home birth so I was able to have a water birth. I am very proud of myself as I am a VBAC. I started going into pre labor on Friday Oct. 9th and was in active labor from about midnight on Saturday until I had her on Monday. WHEW! loong but well worth it! She came out just so perfectly, took her first breath right away and was crying VERY loudly, she was so healthy and happy the entire labor I was amazed!

Then we were lucky enough to (barely) catch her first smile when we gave her her first bath, on 10/28. She loved the water being washed down her back it must have tickled!

Then we went pumpkin picking and apple picking.

Very shortly there after she turned 4wks old

Just wanted to show off my new witchie-poo that I made yesterday, she's quite cute! I'm going to be using her in a page that will be for sale soon so keep an eye out! This is before I glittered and painted her up... she looks just too cute now with all the sparkles! I'll post the completed project once I finish it this week!

Best Friends

I love this background I found, it's such a calming blue! I also love the picture of Brianna and I up north! We randomly went to this mall in the middle of nowhere and went into the cowboy hat store! So much fun just us goofing around!

I apologize in advance for the horrible lighting and picture quality! lol this is my sketch book cover that I just redid this week, I don't know why but the ribbon wasn't staying down but now I fixed it! I might also add a title but IDK. I know for sure that the spiral will be full of ribbon though! ;)

Got a bunch of Scrapbooking stuff for my BDAY!!!

I got a bunch of scrapbooking stuff for my bday this year, thanks mostly to the fact that I received cash presents(Thank you Mom, and Auntie Marsha!) So needless to say I went shopping! lol I found a bunch of chipboard albums at michaels that were clolorbok brand for $1each(score!) so I had to grab every shape they had, also in the dollar section I found packs of patterned paper that were really pretty. I also bought a bunch of the new Basic Grey line(above) and a bunch of pp with the cute glittered owls and deer etc. from a few different brands. This one is by far my favorite from Best Creations Inc. (below) I also got a few eco products made of recycled material! Can't wait to get to use them!
